Fuzion Entertainment Artist Vision Quest Slated To Perform at North By Northwest Music Festival in Portland, Oregon
Fuzion Entertainment is proud to announce that Hip-Hop group VISION QUEST has been invited to perform at the North By Northwest Music Festival in Portland, Oregon. The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Downtown Portland, 329 SW Pine Street from September 19-24. Vision Quest will be performing at SEGES on Friday, September 22 at 9:00 PM. More than 300 bands and solo acts from the Pacific Northwest, across the nation and around the world will participate in this year’s festivities. North By Northwest is a music festival where artists and industry professionals come together, utilizing network opportunities to enhance their position in the business. Panel discussions are held throughout the day about various subjects ranging from digital music downloads to promoting your music through film. Producer and member of the Talking Heads, Jerry Harrison, will give this year’s opening comments.

Diriki Mack and BMD, the two artists who make up Vision Quest, have received rave reviews in such magazines as Billboard, Gavin, Black Beat and Right On. In January 2000, Fuzion Entertainment, under a deal with Ninety-Nine Distribution GmbH in Germany, released “Verbal Sights,� VQ’s first full-length record, to major chain stores in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The release sparked considerable sales and excellent feedback among fans, press and radio stations such as JAM FM in Berlin and Radio Mafia in Finland.







Fuzion Entertainment And The Orchard.Com Release Album By Hip-Hop Duo Vision Quest To All Major Internet Retailers
April 2000, New York -- Fuzion Entertainment, an independent record label based in New York City, and The Orchard .Com will distribute Fuzion's newest release "Verbal Sights," the album by Vision Quest, the critically acclaimed hip-hop duo from Long Island, New York. "Verbal Sights" will be sold at all major Internet retailers including Amazon.Com and CD Now starting in May 2000.

Diriki Mack and BMD, the two artists who make up Vision Quest, released their first record in 1995, a single entitled "Soul Clique" under another independent record label. They received rave reviews in such magazines as Billboard, Gavin, Black Beat and Right On. In January 2000, Fuzion Entertainment, under a deal with Ninety-Nine Distribution GmbH in Germany, released "Verbal Sights" to major chain stores in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The release sparked considerable sales and excellent feedback among fans, press and radio stations such as JAM FM in Berlin.

The music of Vision Quest has reached the top 30 on the MP3.Com hip-hop charts and prompted Fuzion Entertainment to make "Verbal Sights" the first record to be sold from the label via the Fuzion website (www.fuzionent.itgo.com). Music from "Verbal Sights" can be previewed on MP3.Com and photos, as well as updated and appearance information on Vision Quest can be seen on the Fuzion website.

Various top-notch producers and musicians worked on "Verbal Sights." Producers Quixotic
(J-Ques, Mutazz) and Bruce Mack (Black Rock Coalition) as well as musicians/writers Marvin Sewell (Cassandra Wilson) and Chris Dater worked with Vision Quest to make this record one of the heavy hitters of 2000. These producers and writers also make up the core of the production team for Fuzion Entertainment.
Vision Quest has been making music together since 1989. Their song "Road of Life (Jerry's Theme) is featured in a documentary film titled "Rocks With Wings" by Producer/Director Rick Derby. Other than the Vision Quest project, VQ and Fuzion have produced music for Travel and Leisure Magazine and public service announcements about AIDS Awareness for Broadway Video/Cable Positive.
